Hello, everyone. I don’t have a lot going on right now, but I feel like I should post something just to keep up the habit. I have been relaxing and not doing much the last week - trying to get out of the mega-studying mode. (And trying to subside my new caffiene addiction. That is not going so well.) I have sent out a few resumes and started a job hunt. Hopefully, I will hear something soon. If you know of any job opportunities in Midland, Texas, let me know, okay?!
Kyle started a new position at his company a few weeks ago. (Kyle works for Chevron Oil Co. Hence the move to Texas for us.) Here is where I would try to explain what he is doing now compared to what he did before with the company. I don’t know. All I know is that he examines geologic maps to determine where to drill for the oil. So, he is doing more of that, but the geology is different on his new team. He likes the new team so far. His boss seems to be really nice and reasonable, and he has not complained about anyone else on his team yet. He just has a little adjusting to do while he gets used to the new position.
In other news, we have finally finished unpacking at our new house! We moved in just before Christmas, and then when we got home from the holidays, I had to bar exam to work towards. It has just been a few crazy months. This past weekend, though, we worked hard at getting everything still packed out and put away. We just have a little bit more organizing to do and then we will be finished with that. Our next step is to paint and make this place our own. Kyle’s parents are coming in about a month to help with the painting, so we should be done with all of that soon. I’m going to try to work on planting a few things outside and playing in the dirt. (In spots where Rocky won’t dig up all of my hard work, of course!) We have really enjoyed our new house, and we are excited to put some of our own personalities in it.
